Visceral Manipulation

Visceral Manipulation is an integrative approach to evaluation and treatment of the body that includes musculoskeletal, vascular, nervous, urogenital, respiratory, digestive, and lymphatic dysfunction. It takes into account the relationship between the musculoskeletal system, viscera (chest, abdominal, and pelvic areas), and their attachments in relation to one another. Treatment incorporates specific manipulation that is gentle and facilitates release of connective tissue that may be causing imbalances in the system to facilitate improved balance and movement.

At times, in order to assist an organ and tissue of the body back to full function, it can be helpful to improve vascular blood flow by manipulating the circulatory system.  An uninterrupted supply of blood to our organs and tissues facilitate good health and function. Due to organs receiving blood supply from larger vessels as well as through smaller vessels they share between each other, it may be important to address these restrictions. This treatment uses precise and gentle techniques to manipulate the arteries in the circulatory system to affect the extremities and organs of the abdomen, chest, and skull.

Vascular Manipulation

NM examines all components of the nervous system of the body. It addresses the nerves throughout the body utilizing gentle and specific techniques to release restrictions that at times are not focused on during general orthopedic treatments. This treatment can release local nerve restrictions while taking into consideration the affect these local restrictions may have on the rest of the body in order to resolve global dysfunctional patterns. Nerve conductivity and intraneural blood supply can be enhanced to effect on local and systemic levels.
