We are considered an out-of-network provider.

No, KMPT will not bill your insurance company on your behalf.

Is reimbursement from my insurance company guaranteed?

No, you will need to contact your insurance company to find out what your benefits for reimbursement for out-of-network providers.  An worksheet is provided, just click the insurance worksheet button to assist you when calling your insurance for your benefits.

Do I need a prescription?

The state of Idaho has Direct Access for physical therapists. This means you do NOT need a prescription to see a therapist. Most insurance companies require a prescription from your MD to see a therapist and to be reimbursed for services received. Make sure to check with your insurance company prior to first visit.

While a specific treatment plan will be discussed and developed between the therapist and client, typically visits will take place 1-2 times per month. Time between sessions allows the body to integrate the changes created as well as for the client to perform given home exercises/plan to facilitate new motor patterns to maintain gains.  Many times a smaller number of visits in this environment are necessary due to the focused treatment, one-on-one care, and client's investment and participation with given program between sessions.
